Yandex Retro Games Battle 2020: "Walker, the time has come. You have to go the hard way to your destiny, find yourself in your greatness and become one of us. My friend, don't go behind me - maybe I won't drive you. Don't go ahead of me - maybe I won't follow you. Go close, and we will be one."

You control an Indian and you have to fulfill the task from the above introduction text. To do this you have to explore a lot of land and defeat many enemies. Your enemies are both humans and animals, and while some of them can be avoided, some has to be killed with your axe.

You have to avoid as many as possible because you do not have unlimited axes. You can find extras, but you have to use them wisely, because the maximum you can collect at a time is nine. Another thing about the axes is that you have to find six places with extra axes, because this will give you unlimited axes, and you will need this for the final battle.

When the sixth place with axes is found the axe in the bottom right of the screen will be yellow instead of black and you will have unlimited axes.

The first thing you have to do is to go searching for an item looking like double arrows pointing upwards – This will give you the ability to make double jumps and reach new areas. When you have this item / ability it will be yellow, but it will not work all of the time, so you have to watch out for when it is yellow.

When you find a skull you have to take it to a totem, when placed you can get past the totem and collect a shield looking item, that will give you 7 more lives so you can have 10 lives instead of the 3 you start with.

The final thing to do is to find a challice that you need to place in another totem to be able to enter the last screen with the final battle.

The background graphics is absolutely stunning. All the screens are extremely detailed and colorful, and there are always some kind of effects like grass or flames blowing in the wind. All the sprites are white, which causes some clash, but because they all are rather small it doesn’t look that bad again. The in game AY music is nice and relaxing and fits a game going on a long time ago well.

The game is very hard and some accurate timing and jumping is needed. It can also be hard to figure out what to do and find the right way to go, because there are several caves that can be entered (stand in front and push up).
