SWORD OF IANNA ============== INTRODUCTION Evil has awoken. After centuries of calm, peace has abandoned the steppes of Dasht-e Kavir and Dashr-e Lut. Orcs, dark knights and other evil creatures ambush and attack travelers in the roads, and they even dare to get close to undefended villages. It is rumored that the chimneys from Dal Gurak's tower are smoking again, and the shamans are sharing the news with bated breath, as if they were afraid of making the bad omen come true. You are Jarkum, a barbarian from the lineage of Arram. Your ancestor Tukaram was chosen by the goddess Ianna to end the darkness created by Asherat, the Lord of Chaos. Now, everything poitnts to a return of the same evil, although you do not dare to say it aloud to avoid attracting bad luck. However, when an old shaman came to your tent, you knew something was going wrong. You must leave immediately and go to Kashgar. Evil does not rest, and you are our only hope. Our people, once proud and powerful, has become fearful after all these years of peace, and it won't resist the attack from the forces of Chaos. You must go to Kashgar and listen to your ancestors. JARKUM, THE HEIR It is told in the village that there was a terrible time when the fate of these lands was in the hands of a single person: Jarkum. Jarkum, heir of Tukaram, was marked since he was born. He was trained since his first steps, not only in the arts of fighting and war, but also in astrology, medicine and meditation. Everything would be necessary, if one day his fate was fulfilled and the goddess IANNA called him to fight against evil. We could only pray to IANNA, so the moment was held back until Jarkum was ready to face his destiny. PROLOGUE A long time ago, the world was ruled by the nocuous LORD OF CHAOS. The goddess IANNA appointed Tukaram to wield the sacred sword that could defeat evilness. Tukaram brought peace to our lands, and his lineage was blessed as servants of the goddess. But evil does not rest, and some centuries later it tries to recover. JARKUM, as an heir of Tukaram, it is your sworn duty to go now, overcome chaos and restore order. HOW TO PLAY "The sword of IANNA" is a game for the ZX Spectrum 128k (any 128k model) and MSX2 computers. These computers were created in the 80s. Both versions can be freely downloaded, and we have created physical releases in a cartridge. You can play in different ways, choose the one that better suits you. With the original cartridge If you have the machine and our cartridge, it is as easy as connecting the cartridge with your computer powered off, and then turn it on. Remember that you must power off your computer before you disconnect the cartridge. On a modern system Of course, if you want to play the game on a modern system (PC Windows, Linux, MAC, iPad, Android tablet, etc.) you will need an emulator of the machine the game has been designed for. Download the game, selecting one of the systems (ZX Spectrum or MSX2). Find an emulator of that machine for your modern system and install it. Run the emulator and load the game. You may need to change some parameters in your emulator, such as the computer model (48k, 128k, MSX1, MSX2, etc.) or the control type (map keys to joystick controls, or configure a game pad).
