The Story Ferdinand W. Templeton is the referential archeologist at the University of Michigan. His important discoveries in such exotic places as Egypt, Philipines, Mexico or Ribagorza have made him a true idol among teenagers and pensioners, hungry for good ol-schooled adventure in the fashio of Rick Dangerous. Pitty that he’s so short in money so he’s unable to keep with his adventures and risky endeavours. With no sponsor… there’s nothing to do. Nevertheless, there’s a dim light at the end of the tunnel! He’s about to marry the rich, beautiful and powerful governor of Alabama, Mary Lou Kapowsky. Well, that’s only if everything ends up nice, ’cause his stag party at Costa Daurada has been the wildest and ravest party that can be remembered… Not even the Expo! Too many orange vodkas – his most precious and rare artifacts are now scattered around the bottom of the sea. The four of them. That is: The Mask of Chichonitzá, The Jewel of Ebro, the Sacred Scroll of Ahamaramu IV and the Pitimini Flower XIX. Those artifacts were going to be presents to the rich, ugly and powerful ex-governor of Alabama Lester H. Kapowsky III, Mary Lou’s daddy, as a good-grief sign after thirteen failed marriage proposals. So there you go, with phobia to water (it ain’t the same being a brave experted archaeologist and a clumsy scared diver wannabe) in your boat, praying to be helped in finding the four artifacts which will grant your marriage with your lover – and, by the way, grant you enough cash to keep searching from glory, fame and treasures for the rest of your life as well. So jump into water and find those artifacts, if you know what’s what. But remember: you won’t last very long under water without breathing! Beware octopuses, jellyfishes and assassin piranhas. And seaweeds are said to be quite mischievous. The Game You have to search for the 4 artifacts scattered around the bottom of the sea. Once you have everything, carry them to your boat. That’s your goal. You have to look after your oxygen reserves. Oxygen diminishes if you touch seaweeds or fancy underwater animals. And just being underwater diminishes it as well, but happily at a much slower pace. To recover it you wether go to the surface to breathe or find bubbles. Each bubbles grants you a “life”, this is, 100 extra oxygen units. You start the game with just 100 units and no extra “lives”. So you know you have to look for oxygen! You can shoot harpoons which will paralyze your enemies momentarily. They are quite limmited. Recovering artifacts give you a few extra harpoons as well. Save them, they can be quite neccesary. Inside the ship you’ll find devices which can be activated like levers in those Phantomas games. No, don’t worry, our favourite thief is NOT in this game – activating such levers will make some gates inside the ship to open. There’s a fancy LED display which throws away some info from time to time. Check it out, at least because it took so much work to code! Controls O LEFT P RIGHT Q DOES NOTHING BUT LOOKS COOL TO NAME AN EXTRA CONTROL! A SWIM DOWN SPACE SHOOT Loading instructions This game is presented only in 128k.
