SLEEPWALKER =========== CRASH!! Eccentric Uncle Silas is out sleepwalking again. WALLOP!! Around an old mansion hall littered with his treasured knick knacks CRUNCH!! But you know what they say about waking sleepwalkers suddenly? BANG!! So who can protect the frail old man from certain injury? RRIIPPP!! Luckily nephew Rory is on hand to save his Uncle. SMASH!! If only he can reach the skateboard before Sila.. YEOWWWWWWWWW!!!!! Uncle Silas has had a rather worrying problem over recent years - Sleepwalking. Until recently nighttime occurrences had been rare, but suddenly Uncle Silas had been found wondering fast asleep by friendly Neighbourhood Watch people almost every night. The costs of running a big old house are very high, and to be perfectly frank, Uncle Silas was broke. His house is slowly falling to pieces, and this, combined with Silas's forgetfulness, meant that the family home was like a disaster just waiting to happen!! Now, Uncle Silas is a very stubborn bloke. When his relatives suggested that he may like to move to a house more suited to his condition, he flatly refused to budge. So Rory, Uncle Silas's young nephew, was brought in to try and make sure that the old man did not meet a premature end. So, if Uncle Silas decides to go on a bit of a wander after 12 midnight, it is up to young Rory to see that he gets back to bed without breaking his deep sleep. Start Game Whilst Uncle Silas is Sleepwalking, he will move randomly about the house in deep sleep. Sometimes he may make his way back to his bed of his own accord, but mainly Rory has to gently manoeuvre him back to his bedroom. Deep sleep is an interesting phenomena. The person can be stirred quite violently, and yet quickly recover to go back to sleep. The number of times Uncle Silas can be shocked and return to sleep are shown on the nightcap icon on the Grandfather Clock. If Uncle Silas wakes fully whilst Sleepwalking, he will suffer untold mental trauma and possibly never recover. To prevent this from happening, Rory guides Uncle Silas by standing stationary in his path. This gentle guiding action prevents his Uncle from waking up. The house is littered with the following hazards, all of which will wake up Uncle Silas. Rory may have to set off the hazard himself, to protect his favourite Uncle. CHANDELIERS - The house dates from the early Neo-Georgian period complete with ornate chandeliers. It is a shame that the bolts holding up these heavy articles date from Tudor times!! SECRET DOORS - Uncle Silas was going to shut these after his visit downstairs, but somehow got distracted. RADIO CASSETTE - "Modern fangled howling machines" as Uncle Silas would say. HAT STANDS - Uncle Silas can trip over these or catch his head. ALARM CLOCK - Designed to wake people up. Just what a Sleepwalker does not need. GRAMOPHONE - An old 78 rpm record jarred into action will soon wake Rory's old Uncle. RORY'S PET CAT - Uncle Silas is not the only one to be forgetful ... who forgot to put the cat out? ANTIQUE VASES - Not only are they expensive, they also make a lot of noise if they get smashed into a million pieces.
