THE SPECTRUM GAMES DATABASE GO TO HELL PUBLISHER Triple Six. AUTHOR Programming and graphics by J. Jones. YEAR 1985. CATEGORY Arcade. CONTROLS Kempston, Sinclair, Cursor joysticks or keyboard: Q: Up A: Down O: Left P: Right B,N,M,SYMBOL,SPACE: Fire H: Pause S: Restart INSTRUCTIONS The aim of the game is to rescue a person you told to go to Hell. To do this you must drive him through a huge maze in order to collect six crosses, then make your way to the hidden room and meet the master of Hell. There're lots of badies everywhere: shooting your small white crosses at them will increase your energy a little. You can fully recover your energy level by placing yourself on the special flashy crosses. HINTS/CHEATS Due to the nature of the maze, some parts of it may seem inaccessible: just try out every single corner near the screen boundaries before going for an alternative path. Avoid getting stuck in narrow corridors or dead ends: you won't have enough space to turn freely and shoot at the badies. Once you have collected all six crosses, you must head for the hidden room which is located at the upper-right section of the maze. 60319,0: Infinite lives 63275,0: Immunity GENERAL FACTS According to an interview with the author in Sinclair User, the author wrote this as a response to various publishing houses that didn't publish his games. NOTES Despite the rather amateurish graphics many people agree that this game still has some kind of an oppressive atmosphere which actually makes it fun to play. Worth a try if only to see the utterly sick animated graphics on the background.
